Northern Michigan

Has anyone had the opportunity to tour around northern Michigan? I thought it would be a nice tour and I'd like the opportunity to dip my toes in 4 great lakes on one trip. Any comments?

Hacked around that area for a couple of days after leaving the Very Boring Rally in Duluth. I love bridge crossing's, and found the Mackinaw & Soo (Sault Ste.Marie) crossing's to be a real hoot. That's from someone who's crossed the GWB & Tappan Zee a million times.The 2 & 28 are great roads to travel on and the motorists were considerate during my travels.Goggers in the area can give you much better info., but from my seat, it was some of the best riding during my 6500mile/3 week trip.
