Okay Ohio...... Lets do a ride on Sept. 20th. We can meet at Route 77 and 78 for a 3 hour ride to food.... This ride will include the Ohio Tail of the Dragon and end with RT26 which is one of the best roads in Ohio. This will be the route https://goo.gl/maps/dHYYi Meet at 10am would get us to the lunch spot by 1pm....

That is going to be rough choosing which to attend. usually get together on  the farm by Millersport (coordinates 39.885161, -82.511323 ) Friday night for some fellowship and relaxed Motorcycle talk. For those who do not know pokey traded his Connie  to Too Tall for a Vstrom but still hosts his annual ride.  They made us feel very welcome last year so I am pretty sure anyone who stops in will be welcomed and well taken care of....  Campers in the ADV group stay on the 2 acres by the barn. Great group of guys and really skilled riders. Enjoyed the time last year in a small group of 10 riders Sat and Sun down in SEO.

How many folks are up for the ride on the 20th? Good route you put up there Kawi girl.  Would like to ride with a group of Concours folks if we can muster some more.

Have you been on 536 (Ohio's Tail) this year?  I was on it in June and it's in bad shape.  They have fracking wells up there and are building pipelines in the area and the roads are getting beat up by the trucks.  The road off of 536 going to Keidasch Point Park is where they had the fracking well fire a month or so ago.  Also, they have put down sealer in 4 foot wide strips across 536 in many spots, some in the turns, that are slicker than snot on a doorknob.  Many of the other roads down there are in bad shape, too, especially 255.  They are all still rideable, just not enjoyable, IMO.

With that all said, I may try to make it to this ride.  Where's lunch planned at?
 
That is also the weekend of the spider in Mo. I would love to do this ohio ride this coming weekend (9/13) if you could swing it. I probably will anyways. Weather looks outstanding.

David if you go out Saturday  hit me up . I will be in lancaster/Seo for the weekend. If the weeather is that good maybe a few more will jump in . Steve Theil will probably ride with me from Indiana to Piqua then I am on to Lancaster via 56 Friday.

Going over friday afternoon this weekend and late next weekend after the ball game. I am leaning toward the Concours ride the 20th if we can get a few more committed. Fits my timeline a bit better.
 
has anyone gotten any feedback on the actual current conditions of rt 26?
I'll hit up my Inmates on ADV down there and ask, last time I ran that route it was pretty ragged,as was twp 255 also, and I would warn it may have been tar and chipped again this year... not trying to Kill your plan Laurie, just asking if anyone rode the route and can verify before planning it.I'd love to come down and play, but I'm a bit short of funds right now... sounds cool tho.

I work till 0800hrs Saturday morning, will try to make lunch in Marietta if I get out on time, would be a good ride from Cleveland, weathers looking good.

I reached out to Secarob and I'll mention it to a buddy of mine when I see him on Thursday. My buddy rides a metric cruiser but we won't hold that against him. ;)

Sorry I missed it, being up till 4AM and getting 2 hours of sleep with the prospect of riding 180 miles to Marietta for lunch wasn't something I thought was smart. Another time for sure.
