PR 2 vs. PR 3

That's a matter of personal opinion...but in my experience yes...  IMHO they wear better and handle better in the rain
 
The PR3 front is way better than PR2. No odd wear that leads to cupping and premature replacement. The rear' for me' was about the same...
 
I personally wasn't very fond of the PR2. I find the PR3 to be a better tire in pretty much every respect. So IMO, yes the PR3's are worth the extra money over the PR2's. But then again, I didn't think the PR2's are worth their price.  :-[
 
Never used the PR2 so can't compare. But I've done 2 track days on the PR3's and gone rim to rim with no concerns for grip or handling. I also road to Maine in storm the other day and the tires performed and were rock solid.

I'm happy.
