13 of us met for lunch before the ride; Mike Thompson, Jac, Larry Carter, Steve Gomes, Kim Ewen, Donna & Doug Ireland, Jerrod Havens, Jeff Brindley, Bob Adema, Mike Greenhough, Bob Komjathy, & me. Finally got rolling after dinner around 1:30 pm. Temps had warmed up to the mid 50's & the sun made it fell a "little" warmer anyway, although Donna would argue that point a bit being she was a passenger behind hubby, Doug. Colors had lost their brilliance from the previous weekend & there's still quite a few trees wearing their summer green, but once in awhile, there'd be a tree that would be like a lighthouse beacon, glowing, off in the distance. Thankfully we never saw any of those forest rats along the way either. Surprisingly, the route was absent of Michigan's second state flower the Orange Conicus too! All in all, it was a decent day & felt good to be out riding with friends new & old alike.
