So what do you use to secure your Airhawk seat pad?

Just trying to figure the best way to keep this puppy in place.  I use a single strap now but it's less than perfect.  Any input is appreciated. :)

Terry, I use the staps and clips that came with the Airhawk. I set it up the first time, and then secured each strap with two small machine screws to the seat pan. When I'm not using the Airhawk, I use the same strap clips to tag the the two loose ends together. If that doesn't explain it, I can try to post a picture. If you are missing those straps, you can order up some new ones.

Well there's my problem!  Bought it second hand at the swap meet at the 2014 national and they didn't come along.  Time to check the website.  :great:

That front strap drives me crazy every time I take my seat off.

You can buy them off the web site. I had to.

4bikes - that is a great idea. Going to do that!! :great:

I'll post a picture of the staps and scews. I'm humbled.  I haven't been called a genius since my last great idea.  :nananana:

Here are some photos of the Airhawk straps.  You will want to spend some time getting the straps exactly where they fit the pad best.  Then as the photo shows, but a small machine screw into the plastic seat pan near the edge of the seat.  The straps can then be clipped to each other under the seat when not in use.  The straps will remain in the perfect position every time.

I screwed my Alaska Leather butt pad strap like that - and felt like a genius:) also had to put a strip of double sided tape between the seat and pad so it wouldn't wiggle around when I'm rearranging myself.

My Laam is particularly slippery - had to do something. HTH

Fwiw, I lost a strap also, so I just go with a single strap on the front. My rear tends to hold down the rest. And there's only one strap to deal with when I want to take it with me.

You can buy bungee cord at most sporting goods/marine stores.  1/8 inch bungee cord and you can adjust to your liking.  Will cost you around 3 bucks
