Tail Bag Suggestion(s)

SuperBee

Moped
Hello all,

Looking for a small to medium size tail bag that can detach easily and fit into a smallish school locker at work.  I thought I'd see if y'all have some suggestions or experiences for a good fitting one.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ride Safe,

SB

I use a Bags Connection rear seat bag when I'm on trips. It's a awesome bag. But it may be too large for what you want.
So for around town. I have been using a Saddlestow Montana Jr. (by Saddlemen) rear seat/rack bag. I have had mine for years and loved this bag. It's on my bike right now. It should do what you want and fit in a locker. It is soft sided so it can be scrunched down if need be.
I strap it around the rear seat. Then just undo the snaps and go when you want to take it off. It stays attached to the seat if you remove the seat also. Or I will some times strap it on to the rear rack. Both methods work well!
I'll give you a link to a place that has them and pictures of my older sun faded bag with many years and miles on it. Hope it helps!

Bob

I use this one too and its great. Even has enough room for multiple day trips if you don't want to use the hard bags because its expandable on both sides.

I am very happy with this one.

Easy on off and seems to be made very well.
Good price too.

Mine is a Fastrax, it looks great and fits great and it expands up so you can fit a full size helmet in it if needed. Also has 2 zipper pouches on the inside of the top flap.

Is that a Dowco Rally Pack or does it say 'Rally Pack' on it?  I like the looks of yours and am trying to find Fastrax but it comes up as Rally Pack from some sellers.  Thx for the pics.

I normally strap it down around the rear rack or around the rear seat. It works well. It worked really well with the Corbin seat. Since the rear seat is a separate piece.

Joe  - your bike looks like mines twin - I also have the fasttrax bag. I have a "better" way of strapping it on. (my opinion). I attached pics, hopefully you can see. I like it because I can attach/disconnect fast and it looks clean. It is also very secure.

In a nutshell, the fasttrax comes with an assortment of straps. Two of them are always attached, loosen rack mounts put under rack and mount -  re-tighten, cut to length. the front strap loop goes through ahead of side grips(seat off), strap goes through loop, cut to length. to put bag on attach clips on rack, then  front straps and snug front.

I'm having the same results when searching for the bag on line. The Rally Pack doesn't look like yours either from the pictures I see on line. Help!
Thanks.

Bill, the pictures you posted are hard top see, they are small but I think I have an idea of what your talking about,I'll give it a try.

Joe - I hope this helps. I had to figure out how to post pictures properly.
I think I got it.

The rear straps are between the rack and mount, with the screws going though them. straps are cut to leanth and "permant"

This shows where the front straps go though, seat off, strap though loop one end and clip on other.

So clip the rear, clip the front and snug the straps. Ta Daaah :)
