Has anyone had a problem with the presure sensors not working after you leave the c-14 in the sun. was 90+ degrees today and they fail to show all the way home , about 19miles.
 
This is the first I have heard of it. But I do know that both heat and cold can affect Lithium batteries and cause them to exhibit a low voltage when first used, and then the voltage will slowly rise as the battery recovers.
 
I am getting a new sensor in the front tire under warranty. It did show low battery in the winter and would eventually recover, but now that it is warm it works well. That is until I got a new tire. Now it shows low battery for a while and again goes away after a bit. The rear has always worked well.
 
Mine take longer to register when they are cooler. But they have so far worked well. I'm not looking forward to the price tag for replacing them when they die. I just bought mine a week ago and according to the shop have 2 defective sensors. Said they've not ever seen 2 down at the same time straight from the factory. Oh well, will cross my fingers that the 2 they have on order will work.
 
My guess as to why they are failing on brand new bikes, is because they have sat in shipping and in the showroom too long, and the batteries have built up a pretty substantial passivation layer on them.
