Weekend trip thru the NC/TN mountains......

sas mayhem

Street Cruiser
Dang!!! Hey I made it back in one piece doing a NC/TN mountain ride. I spent the night in Marion NC on Saturday to Sunday. Rode  all day Sunday over to Cherokee NC and then Gatlinburg TN, Newport and take 25/70 back into NC, then 19 to Spruce Pine hit NC80 and 226A before heading to Marion.    Colors were amazing in the mountains and there was still some snow is some areas.  Going from NC to Tn on 411 was pretty good, but the traffic going in the opposite direction was bumper to bumper.  I totaled about 750 miles of riding time, stopped off and had a bite to eat st Smokey's sports bar.  I want to do that again and plan for a stop at the bike musum in Maggie Valley.  This was a must do ride..."do over..." Here goes some pic that I took. Enjoy !!!

Next I will give a heads up. I ride all year round so it  won't be long before I'm heading that way again.

Cheers

That is funny. I was in Sevierville for a week in may touring around Pigeon Forge and Gatlinberg and vowed to head back with the bike next time. I think the house we rented was on Happy Hollow road. It was one of those great big houses in the mountains and all of the neighboring houses are identical. Loved it and can imagine you must have had an excellent ride.
