Rally in the 'Rump on the calendar. Come snuggle up

Registered for the Rump!! Thank you Mark for putting this event together! The Death Valley area is awesome!

Pro tips for Rally in the Rump. Stay tuned here for route suggestion's, places to eat, things to C and or do. Speed limit in town is 35mph and is STRICTLY enforced. Charby looking at you. There are 3 ways into DVNP from the 'Rump. Each with it's own flavor. Stay Tuned........

Pro tip #2 Feedbag. Bfast, I hear the Bfast at central is pretty good. Options are Mom's Dinner 1240 State St #100, Pahrump, NV 89048. Local place with good food at a good price may be a line. Shelly Belly New York Bagels 1190 State 372 Suite #1, Pahrump, NV 89048 another local place with everything bagel. Denny's 240 NV-160, Pahrump, NV 89048 chain diner, Crowbar Cafe Old State Hwy 127, Shoshone, CA 92384 about 60 minutes out of town. Neat roadside diner in Shoshone on the way to DVNP.

BAKER TO VEGAS 2024 , MARCH 22-25TH

The route includes Baker to Shoshone to Pahrump?
This would mean the best way in is from Las Vegas or Death Valley?

ProTip #2.5 Feedbag lunch and dinner and whiskey for the horse. In town fuel is readily available. If you have a smiths reward card there is a substantial discount at the Smiths station. Not so much in DVNP. Lunch ASSuming your not in town. Crowbar cafe in Shoshone fuel available. Furnace creek has a buffet style restaurant (meh) but great sandwiches at the clubhouse at the golf course. Fuel available. Stovepipe wells convenience store and restaurant fuel available. Panamint springs restaurant. Fuel available. Death Valley junction/Amargosa Cool stop for rest and ice cream. No fuel. Multiple dinner options in town. All fast food chains. Several sit down restaurant options. Proposing Johnnys Tacos for group dinner Saturday night 100 yards from central. Good Mex food and cerveza. Working with the SWAD on a partial dinner reimbursement for members.

Pro Tip #3 Routes. All main roads are now open in DVNP though there may be dust and debris. Be aware. This route takes you about 15 miles south of the "rump to the old spanish trail through Tecopa. Established in the early 1800's by the spanish as a trade route from Santa Fe New Mexico to Los Angeles. Through Shoshone to badwater basin and the artists loop, furnace creek, stovepipe wells and panamint. One of my personal favorite rides up to Father Crowleys look out (star wars canyon). Best part is you get to turn around and ride it back downhill. https://maps.app.goo.gl/CGzVDGWPyHHXmCkN6 A bit quicker way in is https://maps.app.goo.gl/eDhYbCgcbq4xRGKMA Straight into Shoshone and still a pleasant ride and pick up the main route there. Note: you can stay on the 128 into Death Valley junction /Amargosa. The 3rd way in (or out if you prefer) is Belle Vista rd. straight into Furnace Creek taking in Dantes view along the way. Awesome little side track with a massive elevation change and great view of Badwater Basin. https://maps.app.goo.gl/jccoMn1qwZdMML6d7.
