'08 New Vibration

TRC

Tricycle
I've got about 9500 miles on my '08 C14.  Recently it has developed a buzzy vibration at around 5000rpm.  It is mostly coming thru the fairing where my legs touch.  Is this common? If not any ideas about what may be causing it, and could it indicate some serious problem?  Thanks for any input.

Have you checked the bolts that attach the fairing to the steering stem.  Look down in front of the handlebars, there are brackets that attach with two bolts.  I was able to get a wrench on them without removing anything.

In addition the fairing stay bolts by the steering head, I'd probably also recommend you re torque all the engine mount bolts. I recently retorqued mine while mounting the Top Block sliders, and afterwards I notice the bike felt a lot smoother.
