2009 T Rex engine guards

I want to add engine and luggage guards to my 09. Unless I'm wrong, my only option is T Rex. Just wondering if any gen 1 owners here have them. If so, any opinions, and how difficult was the install. Any time you have to remove plastic it can be a pita and the directions say fairings need removal for engine guard install. Just looking for a little insight. Thanks

I have them on my 09. I don't notice them any more, been on there for 6 years. The lower mount attaches to the rear eng mount. Slide the long bolt out to the right after removing the nut on the left. Do not turn the head of that bolt, it's adjustment is critical. Do one side at a time so that the front of eng doesn't drop and make eng mount refitting problematic.

If I do go that route, thanks for the heads up.
