Audio signal splitter

I know it's probably on here somewhere but I am looking for a device that allows the input of an audio feed from more than one source. I have a cell phone with built in GPS and an I-pod that i want to send the sound to a set of earphones from. It needs to have priority of one source and switch automatically when the sound from the phone comes on to cancel the i-pod sound and then switch back automatically. All suggestions are appreciated. Price is an issue but I want it to work.

I know that with an ipod, you've got your library on itunes, so my suggestion might be less helpful, but have you considered using your new droid 2 as an mp3 player? I imagine it came with a 16gb sd card, which is not bad, in terms of the amount of albums/songs you can toss on there. They have 32gb cards, but they're ridiculously expensive. I use my phone as my mp3 player in the car, and love it.

The benefit of using the phone for it all is that you don't have to worry about a splitter. The navigation cuts over the music. You might want to look into whether you can put your itunes music on your phone.

Apart from that suggestion, I'm not aware of any bluetooth receiver that switches that freely between devices. I have a headset that can connect to two different devices, but not art the same time for audio.

If you need a priority. Mix it 2 is probably the easiest and more cost effective way to go. I had one and it worked well!

I have used  this http://www.electric-avenues.com/amplirider.html for the past three riding seasons.

I use the Amplirider to mix audio from an iPod, a Garmin 2720 GPS and an FRS radio for bike to bike communication.  It worked quite well and I would recommend it.

This season I will be using an Autocom I picked up and will probably retire the amplirider and give it to my son.

If you want the real deal this is a great product.

The bad news is they are out of production so you have to find one used.
