Best place to buy a Kawasaki touring seat?

Has anyone ever ordered a new touring seat from an European Kawasaki part supplier? I've seen a couple on the internet and with shipping the seat is about $477.
 
Kfm motorrader is where I just ordered a Kawasaki Concours touring seat made by Kawasaki Kawasaki part number. About $477 used PayPal. I also got a air filter with no extra shipping cost. DHL I will let you know how it went. KFM has good reviews of the people have used them in the past. When the exchange rate is good. And you're buying something that costs a few hundred dollars. Flat shipping rate of 95 Euros
 
I got my new Kawasaki touring seat from Germany today. It came in a Kawasaki parts box. Much cheaper than buying in the United States. I don't know why that is. 477. U.S. Is a whole lot cheaper than 739. Plus shipping they took approximately 15 days to get it.

Kawasaki 999941575. Is the part number for the seat. https://www.kfm-motorraeder.de/en is the website. When you place your order they order from Japan I'm assuming, it took about a week to get to them then it takes about another week to get to you.344.58 euros is approximately 366.US That's for the seat. I also bought a Kawasaki Concours air filter on The same order. 37.36 US. Shipping was 101.00 US
I am not a rich man. So I am Mr thrifty and shop for low prices. There may be cheaper German or European Kawasaki parts dealers. That's like the first one I found way at the end of a Google search for the seat. Seems like every US supplier wanted $739 for the seat. Why they have such a markup I do not know. I spent 3 years in Germany in the army in the '80s. So I was not afraid to deal with Germans.This parts dealer sends you updates when you're parts arrives to them and when they ship it out. And it was shipped to me by DHL all way to my state capital and then turned over to the US postal Service and delivered to my house. It must be signed for he advised.
 
I'll let you know. It's off getting tires and brake fluid change as well as air filter. I won't get it back till this weekend. From what I understand there's a break in period On it too. There's lots of talk on this forum about the the touring seat.
 
I'm interested in how it performs.
Vern, I've had the touring seat for over a year now. And it's so much better than any of the other c14 seats I've tried. I have a 2010 that came with a Sargent. I went to a 2 piece corbin, then found a stock 2009 gel seat. Nothing jelly about it ,.found a stock 2016, that according to everything I read was suppose to have been redesigned with different padding and less slant. Wasn't bad, but after trying my buddies c14 with a touring seat, the search was on. Granted it's not as good as the winged premium seats like RDL. Baldwin etc...but I have had no issues riding 600+ mile on it .
 
I’m still on a stock seat, well it’s enhanced by a AirHawk2 seat air cushion.

We have three 1,000+ mile days in the saddle, lots of 500-700 mile days and many 700-900 mile days. I could not do 500 miles a day, back to back to back without the AirHawk2 on that stock 2017 seat.

I am interested if the Touring seat would change the ‘tush appeal’ that much for is. Getting ready to replace one of our two AirHawk2 seat air cushions, they’re around $100 - for just a weee bit more we can get a touring seat from across the pond.

Hmm maybe both 😉.!?

Possibly if having not pulled the trigger by the National Rally we can have a try that seat appeal day for those willing to share their seats in the parking lot.
