Need to put new pads on the bike. Any comments on good aftermarket brands? Are the OEM pads sintered? I was told that you must replace sintered with the sintered............ thank you

Mr. Murph http://www.murpskits.com/catalog/ has a selection of pads and seems to know what ones are good for what. You might try and contact him or look at the site to see if it answers all. I have no real help for the sintered question.

I've just installed EBC organics. I've since read the semi-metallic are a better choice for front brakes but so far I can't complain. http://murpskits.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=161&osCsid=5a92af5eb278a0f05461a23d8e82870b

I'm using Carbone Lorraine sintered pads front/back from Murphs. No issues. IIRC, the OEM pads are not sintered metal/ Over the years I have used EBC and Carbone Lorraine sintered metal (HH) pads and had no issues... they are very similar in performance and I recommend either.. The EBC Green are organic One combination I tried was using EBC HH on the front and Green on the rear. The green provide less aggressive braking and did not lock up the rear wheel as easily sa with HH on the rear. I now have EBC HH on the front and Carbone Lorraine on the rear. I have also used the CL's on the front. I like the current combo. The CL's are supposed to use a differnt sinter compound for the rear than for the front so they are not as grabby.

For the '94 and newer Concours: The OEM pads are sintered, semi-metallic. The front OEM pads IMO are too abrasive for the rotor and the rotor will wear down prematurely. I use FA129HH EBC semi metallic on the front which have good performance but are less abrasive. The rear can be easily locked up in a quick braking moment using a semi-meatllic pad so I use the FA 85 EBC organic (non-metallic). Plenty of stopping power for the rear but less likely to lock up the wheel. Dan P
