carbs from 2002 fit 1987

working on my 1987 runs poor when starting wont rev back fires till warmed up then runs great looking at 2002 carbs will they fit 1987 if that is the problem any other suggestions thanks kevin

kevin, it sounds like yours just need a good cleaning. maybe some trash in the starter circuit. I think the 02 ones will fit but not sure.
 
The Carb rack on the C10 is the same across all years. I agree with the other post, you're better to pull the rack, and service the carbs. Take a look at Steve In Sunny Florida's Jet kit http://shoodabenengineering.com/ and Rich's carb service article in the Fall O6 Concourier. Do both of those and all will be well. I would suggest you buy a new set of carb boots, and perhaps the carb needles. The boots get real stiff after 20 years and new ones make installation much much easier.
