COG Areas Is yours correct?

I continually have problems with members not being in the COG Area that they should be in.  Part of the problem is a new person signing up is not presented a map of the areas to decide what area to pic.  It seems this is a limitation of the software and will not change anytime soon.  Here is what I think might help.

The COG AREA or Chapter map needs to be on the Home Page in my opinion.  It needs to be predominant part of the home page so everyone sees at a glance...
1. That we have areas and what their area might be.
2. They see that there are area web pages for each area so these pages get used more.

This does not fix the problem of people not picking the correct area when going through the sign up process but it might help.

PS:  Go check your area selection.  Don't know what area you are in?  Go to the main cog homepage at www.cog-online.org  Pick About COG from the gray top menu and then pick COG Chapters and find your area.
Members, when you sign in does it take you to the correct area?  You can tell what area is set in your profile by if the Calendar is set to the correct area.  If not then write membership@cog-online.org and let them know what the problem is and how it needs to be to be correct.

Here is a portion of the welcome message email that goes out when someone joins the club or registers to use the forum...
