Hey folks,

My wife and I just returned from a 3900 mile round trip to Deals Gap.....well, that was the final destination, we also did the entire Blue Ridge Parkway, the Cherohala Skyway, Waterfalls Parkway, etc, etc...

Anyway...

There were silver '08 Connies all over the place down there...in the less than 48 hrs we were in the area, I saw at least a half dozen 08's, and a couple 2010's...

Just wondering any of them were also forum members?

We met a guy from Maine, a couple guys from WV, and another guy from Ontario...but that's it.

I was there May 14th - 21st.  I can almost match your 3900 mile round trip.  It was 3400 miles round trip for me.  I rode all the roads you guys did and saw several C14s but I actually saw more FJRs.

I may have been one of the 08 C14's.  I did the Dragon, Skyway, Blue Ridge Pkw, NC28 (Bryson City to Highlands (recommended).  Saw several other C-14's as well.  We attended the "Rally to Ridgecrest" just east of Asheville over memorial day weekend.  I saw 4 C14 and 2 C10's there.  Great trip from Illinois to NC and back. We were in the area 5-25 to 31. Met a nice guy from Upper New York on a Blue '10 and a couple from Minnesota on a black 09.  Great weekend of twisties for a guy from the flatlands. Interesting side-bar.  I was travelling with a friend who had a BMW K1600 GTL. (The 6 cyl). Got to ride it.  Sweet bike.
