fairing trim

I am trying to find a source for the trim that fits around the fairing. It is black, seems to be flexible steel staple type fittings molded into a flexible black rubber type material. goes from top to bottom on driver side of fairing. Couldnt find it on murphs... Mine is looking ragged from minor bumps and scratches, it detracts from the overall look. If you know of a source for this stuff, please let me know. thnx, Larry

Try McMasters-Carr@ McMaster.com. We use it to buy rubber trim for steel sheets to cover sharp edges.

Also try Ronayers.com I think you can get it through them. I need some myself. '02 Connie COG # 6662 Dallas, Tx

Another place to maybe score a similar or like item is JC Whitney. They carry all kinds of door molding for car and trucks that may work in our application.. BUT! Ron Ayers would definitely have it. Look through the parts fiche, record the part number then order.. 2007 650 V-Strom 2006 ZG1000 Concours 1999 Turbocharged Vulcan Nomad 1979 KZ1000ST (a work in slow progress)

Bike Bandit is another source and they offer an AMA discount, I've had very satisfactory service from them. Eddie Sanford, FL 2005 Concours 1969 Triumph Bonneville AMA# 686667 COG# 7073 CDA# 0136 http://picasaweb.google.com/Eddie753

If you want the exact same stuff, ma Kawi is the only place I've ever found. But....if you want something a little different.. http://www.mcmaster.com/#edge-trim specifically page 3409 http://millerized.com/pegs I'll be in the garage

There's usually someone parting out a bike on ebay with the trim. I just searched for "Concours trim" and found a hit, current bid $10.50

most any auto parts store carries the black door trim, cheap alternative and looks quite good, I have it on my 01, also I believe Elvin uses it as well. Virginia Beach, VA COG 6517 03 Concours (9/11/04) 01 Concours (8/16/08) USN Retired
