Falcon aero kit

Merry Christmas y'all.

So alot of us have been there and broken off one if not both of the plastic grommet holes that contain the well nuts for the lower dash panels. So I ordered his aero kit for the c14 which has air deflectors for your hands BUT also has these slick repair brackets, that replace the well nuts. Yes if u don't want the air deflectors u can order the brackets separately. And if u make a mistake while ordering their customer service will correct you and save you $5. I know cuz I tried to order both the brackets and deflectors, and didn't see the package deal for them both. Install is eezy peezy.

Remove the the lower 10mm nut holding mirror assembly to mount. If u are.lucky and still have a functional well nut, ull need to.push it out of the fairing. On mine the lower well nuts and fairing retaining points were broken and missing the uppers were both there but the fairing holes were cracked and on their last leg.
Simply install.the repair bracket and reattack tje 10mm nut. Replace the lower dash fairing and ur done. Unless u bought the deflectors, then simply use the supplied screws to attachthe deflectors. IMPORTANT longer screws go on TOP. Short screws on bottom,.otherwise u will damage the bracket by pulling thru the female threaded receiver nuts. (Do ask how o know that) did I mention the customer service!! .

A buddy has had them on his c14 for a month or so and loves them.

Price? Very reasonable $60for the kit.

Contacted Falcon, Gen 1 wings will be available hopefully at the end of January ! They seem like an excellent addition to my C14.

You can do the same thing with fifty cents worth of aluminum angle.

Pretty clever. I could have used the repair bracket on my gen 1. The top hole got broken from using the baker hand wings. I kept them to do a custom fit on my gen 2.x That bracket looks like a good way of reinforcing the holes even if they're not broken. The baker hand wings can be opened and closed on the fly. Riding the 2017 without them (and same gen 1 windshield) I notice more buffeting off the sides of the shield. So they must smooth out the air coming around the shield. Konehead do you have a pict from the rider's point of view? Curious how they look from that side.

Is there a link to their web page? Searching on Falcon wings gets all airplane hits, F16 etc.

It should be falconinformaero.com. I'll post a pic in a bit..

The pics really show how well it blends in. Heck, I can barely notice them...

They are very nice, but I'm spoiled with just reaching out and opening/closing the Baker hand wings while riding (which were gen1 only due to mirror location). Combined with raising/lowering the windshield airflow changes dramatically. So I'll adapt the Baker's wings. I did order the repair brackets from Falcon to reinforce the fairing.

I had bought the bracket repair kit about 5 weeks ago when I first saw it knowing that my 2013 came back from the dealer following the first valve check 70K miles ago with 2 of the tabs broken off. Somewhere in here there was an appeal for someone to figure out a fix I posted when the stealership over tightened the tabs and broke them (In addition to dropping the bike off the lift and having to replace the fairings and steering bearing they cracked ) . WHen I saw that theses were available I immediately paid for a pair.

Now that you have done the pictoral guide I feel this winter project calling my name. THanks

Just mounted a set on my 22 C14. Haven't had a chance to ride her yet, but looking forward to seeing how they perform.
