Final drive shaft question

Big Wheel
Was cleaning the bike and noticed a gap near one of the places that connects the final drive shaft of the left side of the bike.  Is this gap supposed to be there? On the right side, there is no gap.  The bike was dropped by the previous owner, but he paid to get it fixed at the dealer.  The dealer missed a couple parts and I am wondering if the dealer missed this too.

I believe that it is normal for a gap to show in that location. My bike shows a gap there as well. If you are concerned about it, remove the black plastic cover and you should find a large nut and it should be torqued to 72 ft/lbs. The manual says to replace it anytime it is removed.
