I have a friend who is going to sale me a GIVI E52 trunk, it came off a tubular luggage rack. Included with the trunk is the universal adapter plate the trunk attaches/detaches from with a key (Monokey model). He didn't need a base plate, his luggage rack worked for that but I do need the base plate that will replace the wimpy little rack on the Connie's tail section. I have scoured Ebay & all kinds of sites online trying to find that plate, I don't need the whole E128 kit which includes that plate & spacers (81.00 & up). Anyone know of an alternative to that base plate? I'm not a fabricator & don't have the tools etc. to jury rig something.
