I am new to the Concours world, just bought an 87. I have seen quite a bit about raising the handlebars and read that sooner or later most Concour rider go with the taller set up. So I am wondering if I have a converted/taller set up or stock. How tall is the stock set up and how tall is the typical modification? Rob

Most Concours riders add bar risers, which are 1 1/4" aluminum blocks, mounted under the stock bars using longer bolts. you can look to see if the risers are already there. If you can see your fok caps, with the air valves, you dont have them. There are other (more expensive) options also, such as heli-bars.
