So I finally got my Hyperpro kit in the mail yesterday,  can't wait to install it :)  It looks like a well designed kit. It includes everything you see below as well as all bracketry to install the springs/shock....

Hoping to install it this weekend and see how it does :)

Whats with all the pictures of the packing material? Wouldn't one the the items laid out have been better? Ok, one of the pretty box.  :))

@Cuda,
They include front fork springs and replacement suspension fluid in the kit, but they do not make a full replacement cartridge like Traxxion does.  The entire kit was about 1100 shipped (I could have gotten it 300 cheaper if I skipped the remote preload adjuster for the rear shock, but if I'm going to do this I'm gonna do it right :)

@Bob, ok no more bike porn for you!  :)) :))

WOW, nice. I have been running Hyperpro steering dampers for over ten years, awesome products...

They size it to your weight when you order..(They ask you your weight with/without gear, do U do more 2 up or solo etc)

According to the stickers,  for the rear shock the spring is an 0522 (that's all it says) and the length is 355 they do not say if that is mm, cm, feet etc :)

From what I can see in the photo, it appears to be a progressive rate type spring, not a straight rate spring. So the rate on it would change as it compresses, and hence you probably won't find a single spring rate listing for it. You'd need to see the actual spring rate curve to know what rate range it covered.

There are differing opinions on what is best. Some suspension makers claim a straight rate spring is better, where others will tell you a progressive spring is better. Most OEM manufactures use a progressive spring since it easier to adapt it to a wider range of rider weights. I think they both have their good and bad points. I believe the damping works better on a shock with a straight rate spring, but a progressive rate spring will probably handle changes in load better (1up  versus 2up etc).

Yes it is a progressive rate spring..    Sadly I didn't get a chance to install it this weekend due to family obligations... Hoping it makes a difference ;)

So the new rear shock is in,  so far I like it,  the rear end isn't as "bouncy" as it used to be and I feel that it's not as susceptible to bumps when leaned as it used to be.  Still need to find time to do the fork springs and see what difference that makes..

Some install Pics :)

Old Suck is out, getting ready for the new hotness

New preload adjuster fits like a glove, they include a bracket to mount it, but apparently on the 10+ it's not necessary

All Torqued to spec,  44 Ft/LB for the dogbones and 25 for the shock bolts

Fred, I am getting about 13mm in the rear.  The kit specifies 10 - 15mm for rear static sag so it's dead on

How much sag do you have with you sitting on the bike? That's the real number I'd like to see.

Haven't been able to measure yet as I don't have a helper to hold the bike LOL  Once I get the fronts installed I'll measure it up and post :)

Yeah that's too smart for me  :rotflmao:

I am scheduled to do my fork springs this weekend, hopefully I can measure then and post #'s for both front and rear :)
