After plenty of miles and months owning Connies, I joined CDA after lunch today.

Rode to the library to drop off a book, use their computers and relax for a minute.  Lots on my mind (changing jobs, family stuff, bike projects, and the old rusty but cool Nova wagon parked across the way, etc.)

Start to lean the bike over.  Over.  Over a little bit more.

Oh no, did I really make about as classic a blunder as getting involved in a land war in Asia?  The kickstand-did I put the kickstand down?

Slow motion drop in progress.  Time to ensure I don't hit the car next to me.  Time to think "where is the CDA thread?".

Pull up, pull up, nope, here we go, save the leg but also the parts, lay her down gently on her left bag, pegs and handlebar.  Mirror folded up nicely with only a small scratch and bike was already in gear.  A gentleman helped me semi-hack squat her back up and made sure I was ok.

Yep, only my ego broken.

So I need to rejoin and get my number!

Glad to know neither you nor Connie was hurt.  Drop me another line when it stops saying Expired Term and we'll set you right up.
 
IMHO, we need more CDA members who are public library patrons and admirers of cool old Novas (I'm also both, ahem)! :))

...and COG members, of course! Say, have you heard about the CDA patch?! ;D
