Leak near shift pedal?

I noticed some white dried up liquid droppings around my shift pedal (2005 Concours) when I came back from my ride yesterday -- and no, it's not from a sea gull :). Looks like a white Silicone lube that they use sometimes. Did you or shop lube that up recent like? Photos[/url]
