Hello again i have gas leaking out of air filter box drain tube after riding it 4 a wail what could be wrong hope you can help Thanks again Mike :quest:
 
Mike, I am new at connies but I have had other motorcycles. First I would check the gas line to carbs but sounds like the float is stuck and gas just keeps coming. I am no expert so maybe one of the real mechanics will jump in. My 2 cents. TP Spring Hill Fl 1999 Connie COG#
 
Fuel in the airbox mean it is coming from the carbs. Possible leaking fuel valve, plus one or more stuck float valves. If this condition does exist, it could lead to hydrolock if you attempt to fire up the bike... and it can severely damage the engine.
 
most likely a float valve as others have said. If the petcock is OK the bike will run rich and gas will leak from the air box for a short time when you shut it down. If petcock is letting gas run when the bike is not running this can-will cause a hydro lock problem. If you are only leaking right after shutting the bike off, It is a float valve.
