Lower the foot pegs?

I am looking to buy a 2006 Concours. I'm 6' 2" and want a real comfortable ride. Is there a kit to lower the foot pegs? Can you please provide name and where to purchase? Also I'm looking to raise and move the handlebars back. What is the best kit for that? If I can get this bike to fit right, I'm in. Thanks. Reply here or email to sam@rockercreek.com

The answer for most farkles worth having is Murph http://www.murphskits.com/catalog/ http://www.murphskits.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=1_91_87&products_id=143 I will email this also. ---------------------------------- South Central Area Director Email scad@cog-online.org

David, both kit's are available through Genmar.Bad knee's and a penchant for 1500 mile day's necessitate both of these addition's to my bike. Peg's limit your lean angle somewhat in corner's.You might try some of our Industry Members such as Larry Buck or Gary Murphy for advice on the subject/availability. AL

Murph's has a 'Kneesavers' kit that allows you to use Goldwing pegs w/Connie. It lowers the top of the peg 1 1/4" but the bottom of the peg stays at the same height. (I think that's right).

Also with the Murph's the pegs stay at the same with, the Gen-mars move the pegs out from the bike a little. You can get the 1800GL pegs on E-bay pretty cheap or by the set from Murph's instead of just the "Knee-savers". The Gold wing pegs are a little wider than the stock pegs = more comfortable. Some find that they need to adjust the shift lever when they move the pegs but it gave my big feet more room to reach under the lever. 1990 Aint she a pretty Tomato (the bike ofcourse) wedshots albums http://community.webshots.com/user/sawfiler64/albums/most-recent

I am a Genmar dealer and they do not recommend the peg lowerers for riders with a shoe size greater than 10 or 10-1/2. This is an issue on the shifter, not the brake. Larry Buck COG 3451,ROK,MTF,IBA,MSF-RC Buck Sport Touring-"Ride Far" www.bucksporttouring.com

Thanks for the input Larry. I wear a size 13 and the "kneesavers" work just fine. 1990 Aint she a pretty Tomato (the bike ofcourse) wedshots albums http://community.webshots.com/user/sawfiler64/albums/most-recent

So then, I guess the kneesavers is the way to go for us with large feet? (size 14). Also , what about lowering the passenger foot pegs? My wife is 5'11 and she would like a little more leg room. Any ideas? 2001 Concours California COG #8642

with a little drilling, you can fit the GL pegs onto the passenger mounts also. and Al, I better get you up to speed on the kneesavers - no loss of ground clearance, moves pegs back abit for big feet, too - Steve Shleper of the 7th gear unit and performance exhaust cam sprockets. My bike - "SHOODABEN" - 1109cc's of what an 04 concours "shoodaben"!
