Since nothing other the IMS show is scheduled this month, I decided that an impromptu ride was in order. Therefore, I have scheduled one for Jan. 23 (Saturday). Meeting place will be at Horne's Restaurant http://www.hornes.com/ in Port Royal, VA at 9:00 for breakfast. For those who haven't been, Horne's is at the intersection of Routes 301 and 17. A 100+ mile ride will follow taking us over through, and down the Northern Neck, stopping at Christ Church for a little culture, then back across the rivah continuing SE for a spin around Gwynn's island, ending up in Mathews for lunch. Restaurant TBD. Of course, all of this is weather permitting. Hope to see you there.

Sounds good, Guy. This could be a jump start for those of us in CRABCAKES withdrawal! :) Pat COG 1887 IBA 5830 NRA LIFE VSSA LIFE Assorted bikes own me.

The crabcakes will have to wait until March, but having missed two (2) Buckwheat Cakes events, I was having a Buckwheat withdrawal. Then I found this at a local Ukrop's:

The seafood craving was taken care of at the Olive Garden on my b'day. Seafood Portofino:

Happy Birthday, Guy. And you're still Guy Young, right? :) The Buckwheat flour looks like the real McCoy but I'll bet the seafood tasted a lot better than it looked........ I'm still trying for Crabcakes on the ride, but a BLT will do. ;) See you guys soon. Pat COG 1887 IBA 5830 NRA LIFE VSSA LIFE Assorted bikes own me.

Pat you missed a good brunch at the New Year day ride, you could have had poached eggs over crab cakes, I opted for the eggs over prime rib, but wish I would tried the crab cakes. 64 Kitchen cool place. I want to make this ride, but I aint coming out to play if it's the 20's..... Oh yea Happy 39th Guy
