Training Wheels
So with about 2200 miles on my bike the rear tire has a flat spot and I can feel it when I lean-in to a curve.
I think it will make it through the summer because I plan on riding only maybe a couple thousand miles this summer, more or less.
I bought an Angel to replace the rear, but I didn't buy a front. The new tire is sitting in the garage, waiting to go when needed. I think I paid 204, delivered.
Planning on keeping the front and installing the Angel on the rear because a 120/70/17 has a pretty standard profile and I cannot imagine anything untoward happening because of the different tires.
I have normally kept to the same kind of tires front and rear and I don't think I've mixed tires since the '80's.
The compound on the OEM tires seems OK, and I don't really push it on the Connie.
I just thought I'd throw the idea out there, see if there's something I'm missing.
Anyone else got mix-match tires?
