Those who fly are doubtlessly familiar with the term, PIO (pilot induced oscillations).  My bike suffers from this, especially in the twisties – I’m happy to report that my Mountain Runner (89 octane -- actually tested in the applechain mountains) seems to have smoothed this out – which is asking a lot of an ECU, eh…  I’ve only got less than 300 miles on the Shoodaben ECU, but I’m quite pleased.  The snap from low RPM is eye-opening, but with judicious throttle use it is very smooth.  Where I notice it the most (as others have noted), is during shifts – when just puttering, I tend to shift rather lethargically, and the “crunchy stutter-step -- PIO” between gears is noticeably abated… Am I ready to tackle the MotoGP, probably not – But I’m pleased – thanks Steve.  Oh, my fuel mileage seems to have improved incrementally as well – although I don’t yet have enough miles to say so authoritatively…
