Tomorrow I am going to pick up my new (for me) 1999 Connie, all farkled out, and drive it back to Long Island, NY from Indiana. Sure hope that Corbin seat lives up to it's reputation! I am flying to Indiana - taking 71 across Ohio - and then taking US 6 the scenic way across Pennsylvania. By the time I get home I hope the Connie will live up to the reputation and accolades I have read from this forum, as this is the reason I bought the bike. Wish me luck and thanks for all of the information! Welcome to the gang. As a fellow New Yorker I would like to invite you to some of our activities. We have a few things going on in the north east area. I myself will be hosting a meet and greet on May 8th. I will also be leading a ride to see antique airplanes fly and antique motorcycles on June 12th. Feel free to check it out. Thanks again for the warm welcome. Thanks to the geniuses at Delta, I was not able to take Route 6 and had to use the I-80 to get back on time for work. Two things - I am not sure the Corbin seat is all it is cracked up to be. Left me plenty of hot spots and was quite painful the first 8 hours or so. I think an Airhawk cushion or another type of seat may be in order. Also, highway pegs! Other than that - what a machine! My wife gave me a little lip when I bought it, but once I took her for a little ride and now have her full endorsement.
