Meant to post this last week and was gonna post it in the CDA section but seeing as how I was going about 20 I didn't think it really belonged there. Up until last week I've been riding the Connie to work every day at first thinking I'd get to Thanksgiving and then till the first snow. I guess I should have stopped at Thanksgiving because last week as I was leaving the Shipyard I had a small mishap with the railroad tracks that run down the road, Not sure why I did it it I found myself in between the two tracks at a point I normally stay out of them because there is a point a little farther along that another set of tracks joins them with the required switch. The situation was compounded somewhat in that it had been raining pretty much all day and was still wet. Getting in there was non event so I decided I had to get out before the switch, well as I moved to the right with as much angle as I could get at about 20 things were great until the rear tire hit the track next thing I now I'm on the ground and the bike is sliding away from me. The good news is there was not a mark on me other than a slightly sore shoulder for a day and other than some scratches on the belly pan and mirror along with wearing a hole in the right saddle bag nothing got broken on the bike.
