Tricycle
Dear forumer

i am think of getting an Zx 1400 FGRT207 Ohlins Fork for my GTR 1400 2016 model  . Before i Click to buy on the web . Can anyone advise what spring should i use for my GTR 1400. i am about 95kg with 175cm height.

Ohlins seller advise me 13Nnm but my bikeshop advise 10Nnm. (Abit confusing)( Please advise )

Thanks alot guy.

Chinese, I sent a note to ZG to ask him.
I think he had the Ohlins on his bike.
Not sure whom else has them.

Watch and see if he replies..

Ride safe, Ted

I know I would take Ohlins suggestion over any shop unless they taught Ohlins how to build the things.

Hi,
Listen, call Ohlins and talk to the nice Techs, they know what they are doing!!!

As you know you can buy a REAR shock made for the C14....

Not so on the front forks, those are made for the ZX-14 and when used on the C14, that has to be taken into account!

Just sayin, talk to OHLIN"S! :great:

Sorry Ted, I don't recall what springs I ran in the forks, been too long ago for this old memory...  :truce:

Good luck to the OP, enjoy that new gold!  :great: :great:

When I got mine, the Ohlins shop that I worked with, installed a 10Nnm in one and a 10.5Nnm in the other. This was for a rider w/gear at a weight of 260 lbs.

Thanks Pope.

yesterday just receive my ohlins fork. its been install with 13Nmm spring . ( Recommended by Kyle Racing USA )

Next step is installation & tuning .

That's the same as on my Ohlins fork, so the bracket design that I sent you will work. As I've stated (in other threads, but you may not have seen those comments), you will need to modify the ABS Sensor by cutting off it's mounting tab and the clocking features it has. I used a Deimel with a sanding disk to clean up the ABS Sensor so it will slide into the large hole in the bracket (until the sensor is fully inserted) and use the set screw to secure it. It only takes something like a 1/2 turn or less once the set screw makes contact to secure the sensor. Then mount the Sensor & Bracket Assembly to the fork.

I had a lot going on yesterday afternoon, so I wasn't able to take photos of my setup. I'll try to get them this afternoon when I get home from work.

Here are some photos of the bracket and ABS Sensor on my Ohlins Fork.

hi Guys ,

You shave away the mounting on the abs sensor . While i remain mine . i yesterday went to view my bike. its not yet ready . so i did not take any photo. latest update from my bikeship  , they don't intend to use any bracket. Just shave abit of the abs mounting Tab & use back the ABS mounting .

Thanks

Hi . Guys

Ohlins Fork is fully install . Its Plug & Play + Sag adjustment . Just Need to Shave abit of the ABS sensor Tabs will do & install back like stock fork . Tested the abs system . Everything works fine .
13Nnm Spring ( Compression 3 Clicks & Rebound 4 Clicks just for start ) ( May need to adjust abit when hit highway & Corner ).
1 fork is rebound & 1 fork is Compression ( very easy tuning fork )

Refer to Photo for ABS sensor installation .
