protecting Givi E41 bags

I want to get a set of Givi E41 bags for my C10 which I bought with out bags. Murph says his tip over bars wont fit. Are there any other tip over bars that will work? Can Murph's be modified? I want to protect them as they are expensive. Any thoughts will be appreciated.
