Replacing Dash LEDs

I ordered some 3528 SMD LEDs. The white backlight is kinda boring. I'm going to replace them with blue. Has anyone else done that? I've already got my spare cluster apart and ready for the new LEDs.

Now there's an opportunity to sell a product.
Install multicolor LEDs with a twisty knob to change the color as needed.

The color changing option isn't really feasible for a reasonable price. There would be a bunch of wiring that would have to be done inside the cluster. But that gives me another idea...

Been done, do not remove the needles from the stepping motors, un solder the motors

They will have to be recalibrated if you do remove them.
Blue Gauges can do it
