Rotors made of.... gold?

First, I'm new to the forum and I'm not sure this post is appropriate here but I have to vent a bit. I stopped by my local Kawi dealer for an oil filter for my new-to-me Concours and asked the parts fellow what a set of front rotors would cost. He spoke but at first my brain just refused to take the information in. I had to ask him to repeat himself and he said the rotors would be $380 and $425 (CDN)... Now I'm wondering what they are made of. I checked on line when I got home and found OEM rotors for about $140 USD and they seem to be the same as those offered by the dealer. Find similar year bike, buy, store, use parts as you need. Seriously, they're worth double the price in used parts. http://millerized.com/pegs I'll be in the garage

eBay's a good source too, lots of parts can be found there. The rotors are so expensive from the dealer because they're made of a 67% unobtanium alloy.
