Does the OEM muffler/pipe have the original heat shield?  If so, I am interested in the pipe, sawn off with at least 2 inches between it andthe muffler.  I want to try and mount a heat shield on a Two Bros slip-on pipe.
 
If you are talking the front & back covers of the muffler (silver color OEM ) Yes they are going with the muffler, but please send pic . So that I am sure what you are describing

On newer (2010 and later) models, there is a heat shield on the pipe ahead of the muffler that sits under the rider's foot.  It shields a little of the motor, the rear brake lever, foot peg, and rear master cylinder.  That is what I am looking for.
