Shorter Side Stand

Has anyone heard of a solution to come up with a shorter side stand?
There are several lowering kits out there but not much use without the shorter stand.

I don't remember anyone selling them. But I have heard of a few people cutting them down a little.

On drag bikes (typically lowered), most people with just cut the side stand.  Some even go to the extent, to weld the 'foot' back on so it looks factory, just shorter.

Doesn't it feel like the stock stand is slightly long for a stock bike?  Not a lot, but I wonder if a 1/4 inch shorter stand wouldn't be better anyway.
