The Passing of a Local "Legend"

I just received word that Rella Stump, the owner of Rella's Roadside Diner (Hacker Valley, WV) passed away the other day. Located alongside Rte. 20 between Buckhannon and Webster Springs, her ramshackle place was a favorite stopping place for a good home cooked meal, some of her delicious pie, and good old conversation about anything that came to mind. The motorcycle community helped her out in the way of a donation when she had to close her place down for a period of time so she could tend to her ailing daughter. Unfortunately, she lost her place to a fire a few years ago, and that stretch of Rte. 20 just didn't seem the same after that.

Rest in peace sweet lady. You will be missed by many.
