Very family friendly and alot of fun, been to it the last 3 years. Ditto landing is a city park on the Tennessee river. Alot of stuff to do and see around Huntsville. Google up the website, BMWMOA

I'm a member of the BMW club here in NE Florida and they are good company. I was checking mileage and this is about 100 miles further than Barber for me, so it's a longer day ride but possibly one we could make. Are there a lot of twisty roads in the area or is this more of a fun and fellowship and sight-see type of event? I may take the cruiser if its' the latter. Thanks for putting it on my calendar! You don't have to crash it, they will welcome you. I know a few of their members and all I've met were great people. If several others think this is something you'd want to do, then keep me posted as I might be able to ride over to this one. tcars John

I'm headed up on Thursday with a BMW group from Valdosta. They all get a kick out of my "KMW" sticker on my 98 connie.

Reid, what route do you guys take? I was thinking of heading up on Thursday too, and may have my beloved with me. It looks like a fun event. Will do. This is my first trip to the chicken rally. Not exactly sure of the route. These guys down here probably won't let me lead it. (They think I ride too fast!!) Obviously, they don't know you guys. Anyway, as I learn the route up, I will post it. Sounds like a fun time. See ya'll in Suches!

Did any of you guys make the chicken rally? My wife and I made it there Fri night around 8pm local time. It rained off and on all weekend. On Sunday we headed for Dahlonega, wrong. Rained Sun night and all day Mon riding home. It was a nice rally, but I don't think I will be back for that one.

Yea I was there the whole weekend, you all missed the thunderstorm Friday afternoon, me and my son rode it out in the tent, lots of wind lightning and thunder, a real hoot. Had a big time and plan on it again next year.
