2018 OtP XVI Is On!!!

It's OtP Time Again!  :wee_hee:

The 16th year of bridging the Atlantic through motorcycling has officially been kicked off.
This year, a member of GCE/GTR Clubs will be coming West to ride around, meet some new friends, and attend the 2018 COG National in Kerrville TX.

Please come back to this thread for updates. There is also a Facebook page ("OTP Over the Pond") set up for communications.

OK, so not everybody knows... What is OtP? :017:

Over the Pond takes a North America COG member, or a GTR Clubs member from Europe, over "the Pond" to visit the other side, once a year, alternating years. They often stay with club members, do some great riding, and participate in the rally of the hosting club. The clubs raise funds to make the trip as low cost as possible for the traveler. The funds are 100% from donations, with none coming from club funds, so it's up to us to keep this thing going!
In the next few months, there will be opportunities for club members to help financially. We already have a "donate" button on the COG & Forum webpages, and there will be other opportunities to contribute.
Donations can be made on both sides of the Atlantic.
- North America: donations can be easily made via Paypal:  treasurer@cog-online.org
- North Ameica: COG Web Page: https://cog.memberize.net/clubportal/Fundraising.cfm?clubID=1328&campaignID=375
- Europe: donations can also be easily made via Paypal:  GTR1000@t-online.de
Please make donations to the proper Paypal account to avoid currency exchange charges.

You can support this program in several ways:
- Cash Donations
- Hosting the traveler(s)
- Merchandise donations (to be sold to raise cash)
- Hotel nights (for nights where a host is not available, or impractical)
- Route guides or company
- Cash Donations (yes, repeated because this is the most critical item)

COG Members surely have seen the articles published by lat years' travelers on the Concourier. It was a fantastic trip, and one we hope to match for a GCE/GTR Club member this year.

OtP Has a numbers of persons on the team. On the European side, it is headed by Bernd Neumann. On the North American side, the team is made up of the following persons: Jim Culp, Mike Aldea, Chris Baum, Eddie Minter, Nancy Isely, and others. Mark Hartman and Dan Breeden (last year's travelers, who will also be helping), and me, the OtP Coordinator.

If you do a search for past OtP threads on the forum, and you'll see some great stories.

The traveler is selected by the clubs. Here's the very basics of the process:
- Nominees are submitted
- Nomineees meeting requirements are contacted to make sure they can make the trip
- Their names are published
- Candidates "campaign" for votes (not at all like presidential elections :truce:)
- The clubs votes to select the traveler. In case of a tie, there will be a runoff vote between the two tying nominees.
- Trip of a lifetime takes place
- Live happily ever after - with lots of new friends from Over the Pond

As with anything like this, there are rules.  :96:
They're meant to keep the process fair, and make it easier to manage it. The guidelines, rules, etc. are included below. The rules will cover who can be nominated, who can vote, etc. Please keep in mind that we are not lawyers (at least most of us), and show grace to us as there will always be room for improvement. If you have suggestions for improvement in future years, please send them via PM, or to the OtP email address below, instead of posting them, to keep the thread more focused. This thread tends to get long, so we will try to keep the content focused.
As in past years, more than one thread on the subject will probably come up, but let's try to keep this one on track as the main communication for this great event. There are also announcements on Facebook that are posted by various people, and as in past years, we will try to disseminate information via the Micapeak email list.
The rough timeline is also below, to help clarify when each step will take place. The dates are approximate, but any changes should be minor.
Please start considering who you will nominate from the GCE/GTR Clubs, and get ready for the opening of nominations...

Any suggestions or comments, feel free to email me at:  otp@cog-online.org
Rules for nominating persons: Not much needed here... just nominate someone who really deserves this (or that you want gone for a while).
Send any nominations to me (not PM, help me keep things straight) at:    otp@cog-online.org

Karma Brother is a pisser  ;) :beerchug:

Jim, the addresses he posted on this discussion aren't working.

If you click on "home" on the Forum, you can then, click on "Donate to OtP" at the top of the page, it does work.
(I know this, because {when I saw his post} I tried to do my first donation).

Suggestion to others:
I do several small donations to "OtP" each year {instead of one big donation},,,
I do this; because it hurts less to do small donation's, my wife doesn't catch me, and "OtP" gains just as many $$
        from several small donations.. :great:

{Do NOT tell my wife I do this!!}

Ride safe, Ted

Sounds like we better have a glass of milk ready to chase those chips. Heck, I may actually try one.
I'm checking into the donation means, but like Ted said, the button on the GOC Main Page works, as well as the rotating banner on the forum pages.
Who are you going to nominate?

Ted, you should pay a barrel of Beer, and we wouldn't tell Judy about your many small donations...  :) :) :) :singing: :singing: :singing: :49: :49: :49:

Correction: No beer "before" the Traveler arrives...

By the time he arrives, I've already sent in my Donations.

ah, you will send your donations not in dollars, but in beer... good idea  :singing: :singing: :singing:

OK guys... we can't let Ted make all the donations. For one, we'd never her the end of it; TWO- Judy would string him up; THREE- ... well, you get the idea.
[glow=red,2,300]Bring in those donations [/glow] :great: :great:

OK guys, we've confirmed that donations Paypal account works. Our club treasurer looked in there, and there was already money from multiple donations.
Now, please keep them coming!

COG Nation

Count me in for a $25 donation to the "OTP" fund. Please nominate your favorite European rider so they might get the chance to explore the USA.

NOMINATIONS ARE NOW OPEN!!!

OK guys, think about our Concours/GTR family on the other side of the Pond... who would you want to honor to be this year's traveler?
Send nominations to Bernd Neumann, or to: otp@cog-online.org (please do NOT post them on forum threads).

You can go to the Over The Pond Facebook page and see additional posts there, but Bernd and I are trying to keep both places updated.

Just an update from the European side:

We already have some Nominees. They are all worth to go.
But it can be only one (maybe two) depending on pledges and donations we will get to make OTP 2018 happen.

The nominees are:
.
.
.
.
.
.
Sorry, its still too early. We need more suggestions.
Pls. send it via email, PN, Messeger ... to Jorge or me.
It is better to do it not public in order to give the suggested person the chance to decline if necesssarry.

If you cannot wait and already want to do something:
- send your pledges to Jorge
- send money donations    - in USA/Canada to Nancy by PayPal or use the donation button (proceedure described above)
                                          - in Europe by PayPal (within Europe free of charge) to GTR1000@t-online.de
For more info refer to facebook group „OTP Over the Pond“

Yea, I prefer steak..
You buying??

Ok folks. E'nuff pickin' on Ted.
Let's get the nominations completed and see the list of nominee's.

Ride safe, Ted

I almost agree... especially with the part about getting nominations in.
They'll be closed soon, so if you have someone in mind, now's the time to send it in.

Remember to send in donations also. We're getting some in already  :great:

Oh, I don't mind the pickin'.
I can take it!!
I just want to move on OtP Nominations/voting,,, and get some $$ in....

So, to accomplish that, the new rule is......
Every time someone picks on Ted, they have to contribute $10 to "OtP"??  :great:

Ride safe, Ted

If you already donated,, you get a 1 time credit for a future slam.
        {Ya, better make it a good one..}  :))

As we're here to raise $$ for "OtP" and I'm putting my "good" name on the line,,,, Future pings {after the 1} are $10 each.

Ain't skert...

Ride safe, Ted

Here ya go Mark... Bernd is sending an update of the funds raised Over the Pond so far, but I don't have it yet.

thank you very much whoever has nominated ME. i'm very happy, and hope for a wonderful travel...
:1rij:
Congratulations to the other nominees...

Here is my presentation for OtP-candidate: :cheer: :cheer:
First of all "thank you" for the nomination for OtP 2016 candidates.

I want to introduce myself, so that you can make you a picture of me, and what i did for the GTR/Conours Community:
Some Guys know me from meetings and tours, as well as the GTR and Concours- forums among Nicknames "ralfgtr" and / or "kawasaurus"

and one of my biggest dreams is to explore by motorbike America, and to drive on famous routes, but what I probably can not afford it.

first place, the fact sheet:
Born: 1960
Place of birth: Linz / Austria
Location: Dornbirn / Austria
Motorcycle: Kawasaki Z1000 GTR (Concours)
Year: 1987

I'm divorced, since 1997, have two grown sons, twins, born in 1990,
and live in a partnership with my girlfriend Linda since 2009
After the divorce, I lived for a while only a gypsy life, was always somewhere to assembly, and came rarely home.

During this time I decided to go to Vorarlberg, (a nice small country in the austrian Alps) because I have been there many friends. Someday (2004) I got an offer to buy a motorcycle.
It was a Kawasaki 1000 GTR, built in 1987, with 66 000 km on it in a beautiful colour (candy wine red,) with saddlebags and full fairing.

Seen - test driven - purchased ...

After some time, and about 12,000 km further I got into trouble with the intake valves.
I searched the Internet for information, and am met with the GCE- and GTR-1000 online community.
I had not enough money to bring her in a Kawasaki Workshop so I must fix it by myself with new intake valves, and technical tips from an mechanical buddy, and since i have never problems with it

Since 2005 was the discussion of a GTR meeting in Germany, which was not too far away, so I reported to me, and took part in it.
I was welcomed warmly into the community, and met some nice people with whom I still like driving tours today.

After GCE- Tour de Twist in Austria in 2006, voices were heard that wanted a meeting in my home area
I then 2007 - 2008 had a larger transmission damage, and could repair it for financial reasons only by myself and bit by bit, and so i coult not go to an GCE/GTR event

But finally i can organize a meeting in 2011.

Prior to the meeting 2009 in Kiefersfelden / Bavaria was still where I guided an followed Tour with Axel and Walter
it was a great ride through the Alps, South Tyrol and Dolomites to Lignano between the Adriatic Sea and on the lake and out have.

The meeting in 2011 I have organized all alone without help, was a great success, and with more than 80 participants probably one of the biggest GTR - meeting in Germany.

2012 & 2013 I could with occupational and technical reasons on my bike not attend meetings and rallies of GTR community, but at (patches, caps, T-shirts with embroidery) some the benefits organized
Then came 2014, the meeting in Switzerland, where although I wanted to participate, and I also went there, but I stopped after 3 bad rainy days and nights in the tent and drove soaked home.
For this meeting I organized the textile embroidery.
After the organizer had retired for the meeting in 2015, I stepped in and had the meeting in the border triangle Austria - Switzerland organizes am Reschenpass - Italy.

A month later, I accompanied and escorted the OtP Traveller Al Norcross, and his Nanny (Tag along) Ted Adcock  in 2015 for two days of the Bavarian royal castles Tyrol (Hahntennjoch - Pillerhöhe - Reschenpass) to Switzerland via Engadin - Flüelapass - Davos - Tiefencastel - Viamala Gorge) to the accommodation Hans-Peter & Ria Home and the next day on the Rhine gorge, Oberalppass and Furka pass to the summit of the Grimsel pass, where I had to leave the group because my vacation came to an end. :motonoises: :motonoises:

in 2016 i should be the Runner up, but 3 weeks before flight, i have an health issue, and i woke up in Hospital, where i must stay for a week, and the medicine men do many tests with me - and found nothing. :smiley_confused1: :smiley_confused1:

so then i was banned fron driving a car, ride a motorcycle, bicycle, climb a ladder, swim alone and other such "dangerous things" for three months...

In 2017 i picked up the OtP Travellers Mark Hartman  & Dan Breeden at the historical WW2 Monument  Fort Schoenenbourg in France, and guided them for two weeks and maybe 5000 Kilometers through Germany, Switzerland and Austria visit many interested locations, some high alpine passroads, included Stelvio Pass, and also to the GTR Meeting in Kiefersfelden/Germany.
the GTR / Concours community very important for me, and I want the OtP - program continue to support active in the future, when I'm limited with my financial situation, I can provide advice and assistance but at least, as well as various Parts in the organizing team take over, about tour, accommodation search, tour guide and tourist information guide for sightseeing etc ...

Okay, guys, it is a little bit long, but don't hit stones at me...
i hope you will VOTE for ME!!! :c017: :c017: :c017:

Hi OTP friends,

yes, we have 4 candidates this year:

- Angeline „Angie“ Jochheim from Netphen-Hainchen, Siegerland, Nordrhein-Westphalen, Germany.
Angie is relatively new in the GCE community and got her driving licence last summer.
She paricipated at the GTR gathering in Kiefersdfelden last year.

- Þröstur Sigurðsson, our viking from Reykjavik, Iceland. 2 years ago he paticipated for the first time
at the GCE Rolling Alpes Rally on his own 1400 GTR, which he shipped to Rotterdam before.

- Ralf Peter from Dornbirn, Vorarlberg, Austria participated at several GTR/GCE gatherings, organized
already 2 big international gatherings of the originally German GTR community. He also guided the OTP-
group twice and overtook the organisation and guidance of OTP 2017 (Mark and Dan).

- André Schaefer from Baesweiler, area of Aachen, Nordrhein-Westphalen, far West Germany is a frequent
participant on countless GCE and GTR events. He also organised and guided a gathering of the German
GTR community in the North Eifel area near Aachen.

I wish them all: „Good luck!“

:great:  Best of luck to all the nominees!  I look forward to meeting the winner in Kerrville.  :)  :motonoises:

Now it is time to remind everyone on the voting procedures.  We can't have an election if people don't know where to vote or whom is an eligible voter.

I agree,. But first we need the "OtP" Leaders to tell us "it is time to vote"..

Jorge / Bernd / Hans; can we vote now?

If so, "I vote for Ted !!!" Ya shoulda known "that" was coming..  ;)

Ride safe, "the" Ted

Hello,
I would like to thank you for the nomination and introduce myself to you.
My name is Angie, the better half of Walter Jung. I have 3 children aged 27, 17 and 15, single mother and very down to earth.
I have a big house, dog, cat, mouse, grandma and grandpa too.
And so that everything runs smoothly, I practice two professions! On the one hand I am a geriatric nurse and the second self-employed med. Podiatrist. My working day is almost 14 hours and there is still time to cuddle and cuddle.
For 2 years I am sitting with Walter on the back of his motorcycle.
That's what got me so excited and just got my driver's license last summer.
Some of you met me last year in Kiefersfelden at the GTR meeting.
My daughter is ecstatic, she thinks it's totally cool and of course she is proud of her mum, who will face this great challenge.
I love "good food", my children and the house, Walter of course, all that I like and very doll me ;-)
On a nice trip across the pond.
I'm happy to be ready for small talk
Greetings Angie

Hallo,

@ Jorge:

If Angie will win, pls. provide a small newbie bike (f.e. a Versys 650 would be good for her long legs).
She got her own driving license just some month ago. She needs a good guide - me?  O:)

If Throstur will win, pls. provide an additional set of wheel bearings (and all necessary tools to change it). :tool: :17: :051bye:

If André will win, plan riding only every 2nd day. The other day he will repair the bike. The bike must not be new. Just provide enough spare parts. He will find a solution for every problem.  :41:

And Ralf - what shall I say? An old C 10, with rusted cabels, running on just 3 cylinders is just good enough for him. Plan straight roads for him (he has twisties at home)  :deadhorse: :sign0103: This will save us a 2nd set of tires  :character0029:

You can also give him a connie dropper as a nanny (bernd..?), so he can picking up a dropped bike on every stop... :)) :)) :))

Ride safe, Ted

PS: I'll talk nice about Andre', Ralf, and Throstur in another note.

I know the above is all part of campaigning to be the Traveler, but once the Traveler is known the trip will be planned around the Travelers wants.  Whomever is elected this becomes THEIR TRIP!  The only requirement is for them to spend some time at the National.  The rest of the trip is whatever they want to see and do.

If they want to sleep late everyday :bedtime2: and ride no more than five hours a day we will plan it that way.  If they want to be on the road before dawn and not stop until after dark we will plan it that way. :motonoises:  If they are more interested in doing the tourist thing in cities we will accommodate them.  On the other hand, if they hate people :-\ and want to spend most of their trip out in the Big Lonesome checking out great scenery and challenging roads that is what we will plan for them to do.

OtP is meant as a reward :c017: for someone who has put a lot of time and effort into making COG and/or GCE into great clubs.  Unfortunately it hasn't always worked out that way.  But it would be nice if everyone kept that in mind when deciding whom should get their vote.

Now I return you to your regularly scheduled campaign.

OtP Route Master

So ...Here i Am...Andre from Cologne/Germany ;)

Opening Part 1

THE FRESH BIKE CALLED “CONNIE”
Now, this is a story all about how
My life got flipped-turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute
Just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the member of a projekt called OTP

In west Germany born and raised
On the Street was where I spent most of my days
Biking and maxin' riding' all cool
And all shootin one bike at the side of the gutter
When a couple of people who were up to no good
Started making trouble with my foot.
I got in one little crash and my mom got scared
She said 'You're movin' only with a car not with the bike`

I begged and pleaded with her day after day
But she packed my bike and sent it on it´s way
She gave me a kiss and then she gave me a car.
I put my helmet on and said, 'I might as well kick it'.

Two years later, yo this is bad
looking for a bike, but what is this.
Is this what the people call a “Concours” like?
Hmmmmm this might be alright.

But wait I hear it´s prissy, bourgeois, all that
Is this the type of bike that they just send as cool cat?
I don't think so
I'll see when I get there
I hope they're prepared for the `Concours` of Kawasaki.

Well, the bike came and when I came out
There was a dude who looked like a cop standing there with my name out
I ain't trying to get arrested yet
I just got here
I sprang with the quickness like lightning, disappeared

I whistled for a new bike and when it came near
The plate said “Concours” again and it had dice in the mirror
If anything I could say that this bike was rare
But I thought 'Nah, forget it' – 'Take it again '

I pulled up to my house about 7 or 8
And I yelled to the wife 'Here come the better Connie'
I looked at my kingdom
I was finally there
To sit on my ride as known as the `Connie`

In Addition here are some facts about me...
Age: 53
Profession: salesman in kitchens
Family: ah, oh , difficult....
got 3 Kids with divorced wife, aged 20,18,15.years and 1 kid with my actual partner, aged 4 years now.
How did I got in love the “Connie” ?
After a accident with my firstbike, a Kawasaki 440ltd "chopper".. a curve over a bridge ...not really.. brought me down. Then i was 6 Years off the bike.
In 1991 i got my first "Connie" C10 , 1989, called "LRO: little red one" with 10000miles on it. I ride it ..an on and on and on...untill there were 60000mile on it... time to change... i thought. It was 2003. What did i got... another c10, "FBI: familyman´s black ironhorse" with 20000miles on it. It was a bargin for only $700, but some things to be repaired. I done it all and what could i say... now there are 70000miles on it. It runs better than ever with K&N Filters and Dynojet Stage 3.
And as Bernd Neumann tells anyone who want to hear it: Yes, i do every service and repair on my "Connie" by myself.

TO BE CONTINUED...😎

After my driver's license exam. I drove 380 kilometers. Ralf you do not have to do this to you, give me your vote and stay home "👍. Give iron ass Angie your votes.

Hi again... by the way !

Is there any question to be asked?

Do not hesitate to bring it up.

The best way to do so is to post here or write a personal message.

You want to know something special about me, my bikes or other themes ?

Because of the fact that i cannot bring up every interesting thing about me
it is essential that you ask me... and/or the other nominees !

Here are some things i do beside riding bikes:

taking pictures and vids (therefore ist difficult to have pictures of me, i am always behind the cam.. ::)),

having fun with home audio (i was selling this equipment in the past),

all mech and tech (i had to much friends ,whom are working as mechanics)

being a familyman (what else with 4 kids),

Again please be free to ask any question... I´ll try to answer as good as possible :))

thank you  !

Andre

PS: But please give  a little time, i am a working man, as Ralf Peter is.

A question for my Euro Brothers and Sister. If you can come to the west coast of the US for OtP what would you like to see, do on the way to the National in Kerrville? From California to Texas the road is yours. What are your desires/wishes. High passes and twisties?  Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon? Death Valley and the parks in Utah? Route 66. The California Coast? Wild West History? Colorado highways? Alien areas in New Mexico?

Good question, all of them, but i think not all will be possible. So the i would select the high passes and twisties, las vegas, grand canyon, western histories and monument valley if it is possible. No problem for me is if we must do loooong rides...

HM ...good question. ::)

So many things to see on all the nice ways.

But you cam´t get them all due times flying.

For me the first goal would be to see a real good friend of mine living in San Diego.

Haven´t seen her for about 20 Years now.

The internet is a good thing. Some years ago i lost her, because she went from Germany to the US,
first to Vegas then got married and reaches San Diego. Someday Google and i found a Picture of her on a class reunion photo in a online newspaper. I couldn´t resist writing a letter with the wish to make a contact, if possible. You would not believe... i got her mailadress in return, and so we found each other on the net again. It was a big surprise to her that i done something to find her. And we keep in touch over the net since then. We promised each other to meet sometime somewhere if possible. Perhaps now the day has come ! Thiswould be my surprise appearence of this trip. So i have to go there to keep my promise fullfilt !. Maybe two promisses..I promised a long hug without any word to her !

Allong the Way... And the distances are quite longer than in Europe...

I know from the past, that there were some travellers doing about 3500miles an more on their way.
I would not subcribe to this, because you´re always in the sattle and nearly no time to hold on an take a look.
So i would prefer to get some Goals ...but not all.
West Coast would be a dream, the line San Diego, LA, Frisco could be mine.
Then turn from sea towards land and take Vegas and Grand Canyon, you can´t miss  them.
Hm Route 66, some call it classic , some say forget it, it lives on from it name... but..
it´s on the way anyway, right? So...take a piece of it. Some turn right the direct way...
but perhaps, if time is avaiable, there is a look to take on the big cities north/east of Kerrville.
May skip Dallas but take Houston instead.

Oops... 2988 miles...  ;)

But remember, i´m not the host, maybe i´m the traveller ;-)

:s_hi: eifeltwister,

It is the hosts job to help the Traveler do what they want on their trip.  Do some research and don't hesitate to dream big when telling us what you want to see while OtP.  I'm told that it is much easier to ride big mileage in the USA vs Europe.  So don't worry about the mileage.  We know what is possible and will plan accordingly to help the Traveler have the trip of a lifetime.

Special note to
index.php
:
Since you keep saying long distance is not a problem for you, we will try to set up a nice Iron Butt Association Bunburner Gold ride just for you. Of course, you will have to do a Saddlesore 1000 first for you to be eligilible for the Bunburner Gold.  Would you like to do those on back to back days? :D

or just send your OTP donation by using PayPal to treasurer@cog-online.org

In Europe:
just send your OTP donation by using PayPal to GTR1000@t-online.de
(free of charge)

:beerchug:

cheers COG-528, Mike,

thanks for the advice.

To correct myself ... there should be a balance of miliage and sideseeing ;-)

It is no problem to go 800 or some more miles a day... but what is to see then beside the roads.

Not much ..because you do not get off the sattle.

Maybe a midway is best.. keep some "long distance" between the tourists parts.

It might be difficult to realize nice every day 250 miles rides on your side of the pond, as i mentioned.

But this must not happen to me, i´m flexibel in this case.

Hopefully my opinion is right and realistic.  ;)

But it has not like to be 1500 miles in 24 hours.. just do get one of the nice IBA-Plates !
This is the part for kawasaurus :))

cheers !

If I ever get Angie Iron Ass to America. I would like to meet you and your families especially on my tour. At sights I remember the Highway 1 from north to south (because of the better view). Then Grand Canyon, Vegas, Death Valley, the National Park with the big trees and much more you want to show me. I am very excited.

That's ok Ralf, I wuz only funnin' about sellin' my vote.. {I've already voted and sent in Donation's}  ;)

Over the years, I've met a lot of the "OtP" Travelers, and most didn't exactly understand the distances here...

Because I'm a TeXaN, I'll use TeXaS to help ya'll "visualize" what I'm taking about ;  <proud grin>  :Woot_Emoticon:

On your trip to Kerrville, one route might be; "enter Texas at El Passo and ride to Kerrville".

Now,,,  "Visualize this"
You wake-up in El Passo on Sunday Morning {and think your almost there}, "so, you" decide to go all the way to Kerrville that day.
                      Should be EZ,,, right??
    fyi; If you do that, the "direct" route is 489 miles / 787 Kilometers.. {approx. 1/2 way across Texas}

Hope that helps you visualize the distances a bit more?? :welcome:

Ride safe, Ted

PS: Mark and Mike will work to make the daily rides interesting and fun, {and make the distances bearable).
      Their really good at this!!!

For whomever may be the traveler, Here is our current planning. We will take you from the Pacific ocean to the heart of Texas. From 280 feet below sea level (Death Valley) to over 14000 feet (Colorado), Across the Mojave Desert, the Sierra Nevada's, Continental Divide. Roads laid out following the covered wagon immigrant trails. The great Navajo Nations in Arizona and Utah, Glitter Gulch in Las Vegas Nevada. The serene beauty of New Mexico and the History of the Mother road, Route 66. 300 to 500 mile days. Easy Peasy. There will be many opportunities to get off the bike and explore. But the trip is yours. You let us know what you would like to do/see, we are here for you. The COG/SW area is looking forward with great anticipation to guide you through some of the finest roads the US can offer.
